Frequently Asked Question

Why does the Windows Photo Display show strange values for color depth?
Last Updated a year ago

In case of multi-page files it can happen that some display programs determine the values of the first image only and then display them for the following pages as well. This leads to strange values for files (color/grey/SW) and start with a grayscale image, this leads to the display of a color depth of 8 bits even on the colored following pages.

The display of the programs is faulty because it seems that it is not updated. The color pages have an actual color depth of 24 bits.

In such a case, please check with other display programs.
